Faoi Bhláth ("In Bloom") is a spaced-repetition course with hundreds of handcrafted Irish-language sentences for the intermediate-level student.
The student learns by translating sentences from English to Irish.
Faoi Bhláth is currently in development for Android phones and tablets.
Sentences are organized into packets of thirty. Packets come in two types:
If the suggested packet is too easy for you, you can skip ahead to one more suitable.
The app presents sentences one by one, prompting you to translate them.
If you judge your translation incorrect, the sentence is presented again after a short delay.
If you judge it correct, the sentence is set aside until our algorithm determines you should practice it again.
Sentences are associated with skills, and key skills have explanatory text.
Our spaced repetition algorithm determines which sentences you should work on today, based on your past performance.
Review your performance for each stage of spaced repetition. You can adjust durations or add more intervals to suit your learning style.
